Thousands of feet below the vast and immense beauty of the heaven-scraping Himalayan mountains can be found a life force. A mineral crucial to the upkeep of our bodies and environment. Salt.

Above the surface, a breath-taking scene of pinks dance amongst the clouds within a picturesque and snow-capped mountain range. Beckoning our imaginations to recall prehistoric eras where crystals began to form, beginning its journey from cave to kitchen. The air is crisp, and the culture is bustling. Trucks swirl around the naturally formed pyramids, trading resources and building communities that have settled into the intersections of Pakistan, Nepal, China, and India. The atmosphere holds millennia of ancient and sacred traditions.

Within the mountain caves are pockets of tranquil serenity. A completely new world that was untouched by humanity for most of its life. It was here, during a trip to Pakistan to reconnect with their roots after twenty years, the Naseem brothers discovered that their paternal family had been studying and locally trading Himalayan salt for decades. Thus, Sea Pinch was born, putting Pakistan back on the map and championing its rich tradition and outstanding produce.

Frustrated by an overwhelming percentage of the Himalayan salt trade industry cutting corners on quality and ethical practice, Sea Pinch began its journey of honouring ancestry, heritage, and local communities. To embody our wellness mission of being as ethical and transparent as possible, we gave back to the local communities on the foothills of the Himalayas that we would begin a long and cherished relationship with. By paying fair wages and rejecting child labour, families and the local economy has a chance to properly thrive. Inspired by traditional engineering, we merged ancestral knowledge with modern efficiency to lessen the environmental impacts of globalisation. From start to finish, we overlook every step of the process to ensure you get the purest salt. We’ve been lucky enough to experience the secrets held below the rugged landscape of the Himalayas, so we want to share that with everyone around the world, completely unadulterated. Free from dyes, fillers, additives, pollutants, and microplastics. Just the one ingredient that sustains life. Just good salt.

Our story begins in a small shop with a small team. With nothing but passion and a dream our brand was born.
